Napping in contact lenses, what's the risk?

When wearing low hydrogel lenses under closed eye conditions can lead to growth of limbal vessels into the cornea.  This process is caused Neovascularization. If you are prone to wearing contacts during napping you should wear a lens with a silicone hydrogel. This allows more oxygen to pass through the lens and into the eye.
